Cuties: Forever Friends ("Cuties", "we", "us") turns photos of your pet into cute illustrations. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the app, and the choices you have. Cuties is operated by Hanson Birringer, New York, USA.

What we collect

• Account details. When you sign in with Apple we receive a unique account identifier and, if you choose to share it, your email address (which may be an Apple private relay address). We never see your Apple password.
• Pet photos and details. The photos you upload, and the names and kinds of animal you give your pets.
• Your cuties. The illustrations, montages and stickers the app creates for you, and the choices you made (such as the background color).
• Purchase status. Whether you have Cuties Plus or other purchases, and when they renew or expire. Apple handles payment; we never receive your card details.
• Device details. Your time zone (so the day's background color follows your local day), and a push notification token if you allow notifications.
• Usage records. How many cuties you have made and when, so we can apply the free cutie and daily limits.

We do not collect your location, contacts, or browsing history, we do not show ads, and we do not sell or share your personal information for advertising.

How we use it

• To create your cuties from your pet photos and save them to your albums.
• To check that a photo shows a pet and is suitable for all ages before any cutie is made, and to check every finished cutie before you see it.
• To run your account, apply limits, provide your purchases, and send the notification that a cutie is ready.
• To keep the service safe, prevent abuse, and fix problems.

Who helps us run Cuties

We share data only with the service providers below, and only as needed to run the app. They process it on our behalf.

• OpenAI creates the illustrations and runs the photo and image safety checks. Your pet photo is sent to OpenAI for each cutie. Under OpenAI's API terms, data sent through its API is not used to train its models, and may be kept for up to 30 days to detect abuse before it is deleted.
• Supabase hosts our database, file storage and servers (in Canada). Your account, pets, photos and cuties are stored here.
• RevenueCat keeps track of your subscription and purchases.
• Apple provides Sign in with Apple, payments, and push notifications.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.

Who can see your pet photos and cuties

Your photos and cuties are private to your account. There is no public feed and no other user can see them. They leave the app only when you choose to save or share them.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is open. If you delete a cutie or a pet, it is removed from your album. If you delete your account, we delete your account, pets, photos, cuties and usage records, revoke your Sign in with Apple link, and delete your purchase profile at RevenueCat. Copies held by our providers for abuse monitoring are deleted on their own schedules (for OpenAI, up to 30 days).

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings › Delete account. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; cancel it in your iPhone's Settings › your name › Subscriptions.

Children

Cuties is made to be suitable for all ages, but it is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, download or delete your personal information, or to object to certain uses. You can delete your data directly in the app, or contact us for any other request. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

Security

Your data is sent over encrypted connections, access to it is limited to your own account, and our keys and credentials are kept on our servers, never in the app. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, let you know in the app.
